The Buddhist Association of Chinese in Tanzania is located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The current chairman of the association is Master Xianhong. The association has jurisdiction over Longquan Tanhua Temple, Longquan Children's Care Center (orphanage), and Bodhi Primary School (including kindergarten). The under-construction projects include Bodhi Temple, Bodhi Junior High School, and Bodhi Middle School.
Since entering Tanzania, the association has been adhering to the Buddhist spirit of compassion and harmony and actively carrying out charity activities. Overseas Chinese and local volunteers have been organized to visit other orphanages, schools and disaster-stricken areas for many times, and free language classes, Buddhist classes, etc. have been organized to provide guidance and help to the public in life and spirituality. It demonstrates the compassionate spirit of Buddha, promotes social good, promotes social stability, and enriches the spiritual and cultural life of the Tanzanian people.
